To amend chapter 196, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to civil penalties for violating certain provisions relating to eggs, with a penalty provision.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
196.356. 1. If the director determines, after inquiry and opportunity for a hearing, that any individual is in violation of any provision of sections 196.311 to 196.361, or any regulations promulgated under such sections, the director shall have the authority to assess a civil penalty of not more than five hundred dollars for each violation, and not more than five hundred dollars for each day such violation continues. 2. Any person aggrieved by any action of the director authorized under this section may appeal such action according to the provisions of chapter 536.
