AN ACT

To amend chapter 620, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to grant programs for

military advocacy.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 620, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 620.3230, to read as follows:

620.3230. 1. The department of economic development shall develop a grant program under the direction of the military preparedness and enhancement commission to provide grants to local military advocacy organizations to assist in defraying the costs incurred while advocating for economic development and job retention in areas surrounding United States military bases. 2. Grants awarded under the provisions of this section shall match funding received by the advocacy organizations from political subdivisions, federal grants, and private donations in an amount to be determined by the military preparedness and enhancement commission. come, first-served basis. grants.
